Who We Are
House is the result of a combination of passion, design, style and history. Opened almost 20 years ago under the name Armoires & More, selling only armoires back then, we have morphed into a complete furniture and furnishings store, giving you everything you need to enjoy chic easy living. Our inventory is continually updated with the best that Libby has found on her buying expeditions — never with cookie-cutter catalog pieces. Thanks to our hand-picked inventory, you can rest assured that a room that’s been outfitted by House will not look like your neighbor’s. From custom furniture to gifts and accessories, we offer a vast product selection that fits your unique style and your budget. And if you don’t see what you want… or don’t even know what you want, we’re always here to help with our design/consulting services.
Owner Libby Haynes has a gift for turning houses into homes through her simple, easy touches of style. Libby regularly shops antique shows and small shops throughout the U.S. to bring new and unique treasures to the store’s inventory. She has developed relationships with manufacturers and artisan industries locally and around the globe. Libby’s work has been featured Better Homes and Gardens, and her design expertise tapped for home and business projects throughout Dallas. Libby began her design career with Harold’s and Ralph Lauren before moving to Anteks Home Furnishings, where she used her experience in fashion to influence her cutting edge home design creations. While there, Libby helped lead the western trend in home furnishings and was the buyer and merchandiser for the six company stores before the chain was sold in 1999. Libby then helped start Estancia Home Collection in the Dallas design center, which later moved to Lovers Lane. The showroom specialized in design for homes, restaurants and hotels. In 2003, Libby purchased Armoires & More.
Through years of conversations with customers and design projects, she has turned the store into a stellar find and re-branded it as House. Ready to discuss your project?
